TOM NGUYEN, Pharm.D. Candidate

Tom is currently a pharmacy student at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Throughout his years as a pharmacy student, he sought numerous opportunities to expand his growth professionally and personally, and the organization that had the most impact is VAPhA. Although this is his first year being involved with VAPhA, he was actively engaged with flu shot drives, organizing and advertising scholarships, and the mock interview/panel with Dr. Ngo. Although these events were limited due to COVID, he recognizes the countless diverse number of resources and opportunities for pharmacy students that are not being utilized. He believes that providing adequate care to the Vietnamese community is essential for his growth as a future pharmacist and it all starts with being involved as early as pharmacy school.
