AN TRAN, Pharm.D. Candidate

An is a current pharmacist student at the University of Houston, and received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Texas A&M University. He first got involved with VAPhA through Dr. Au and Dr. Ngo involvement with the UH college, and after attending several health fairs, he understand the importance of community outreach regarding promoting public health and healthcare literacy. As an immigrant himself, he can empathize with the local Vietnamese community in Houston where at time, the healthcare system can be a bit daunting in term of getting educations, medications, and vaccinations. He hope to continue being involved with and be a positive force within the local community in the future.
