TRINA LA, Pharm.D

Dr. La started her career in the medical field as a Molecular Biology research assistant for the UT Dental Branch prior to 1999. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University in 1999, a residency program in ambulatory care at the Texas Medical Center and completed a Master-in-Science- Health Service Administration in Biopharmaceuticals Regulatory and Compliance at the Wyoming Pharmacy School in 2018. Dr La’s background is comprehensive in Executive Hospital Pharmacy Management and includes experience in a variety of settings from small rural hospitals, ambulatory services, specialty, PBM, ambulatory care to multi-system flagship academic hospital settings, and worked at many large health systems as there System and Regional Director. She ran one of the largest Residency Program in the Texas Medical Center comprising of (16) PGY-1, (2) PGY-2, and(1)Admin resident as a System Division Director during her tenure. Dr. Trina La recently joined the CompleteRX team in 2019 as a Vice President of Pharmacy Operations of the NE Region. Her territory includes fifty-five hospitals in Massachusetts and a three hospitals Health System located in Upper Alleghany, New York with an addition of one new Pediatric Hospital in Corpus Christi. Dr. La has a boot on the ground style of leadership and enjoys working with executive leaders, internal and external customers, employee mentorship and coaching students. Dr. La and her husband currently reside in Houston and they have a baby girl that is married to a wonderful son-in- law and a son that recently got engaged.
