THANG CHAU, Pharm.D.

Thang earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University in 2024. He was born in the bustling city of Saigon, Vietnam, and proudly raised in Alief Houston, Texas. From the humble streets of Saigon to facing the daunting task of adapting to a new culture while advancing his professional aspirations. Thang enrolled in a reputable pharmacy school in Houston and the nation, where his dedication, leadership, and expertise quickly stood out. During his time at Texas Southern University, he founded and became the first Vietnamese American Pharmacy Student Society (VAPSS) president, which fulfilled his goal to motivate his fellow TSU PharmD candidates to join VAPhA, protect the local community, and make it the healthiest community. Upon graduating, Thang committed himself to serving the diverse Houston community, especially the underserved populations, inspired by his childhood pharmacist and mentor, Dr. Stephen H. Au. Thang is looking to advance his career as a pharmacist in the pharmaceutical industry and foster and mentor the next generation of pharmacists. When he is not working or doing health fairs with Dr. Stephen Au, Thang loves to travel, enjoy a good B-B-Q by the pool, and binge-watch all the weekend football (soccer) games..
