MARCEL RAMIREZ, Pharm.D. Candidate

Marcel Ramirez is currently a Third-Year Pharm-D candidate at Texas Southern University, having previously earned his associate's degree in science from Houston Community College. Born and raised in Katy, Texas, Marcel developed a strong interest in pharmacy due to serval bouts of cancer in his family, which led him to pursue his career. Since joining the field, he has gained extensive experience working as a pharmacy technician and pharmacist intern in the retail setting, where he has excelled in patient care, medication counseling, and pharmacy operations. Marcel is actively involved in several professional organizations, including serving as the President of the Vietnamese American Pharmacy Student Society (VAPSS) for its third chapter. His passion for pharmacy is further evidenced by his contributions to research at Harris Health System and his commitment to improving community health
